With our incredible partners, Sababu Safaris, we will embrace you as a special guest and friend. See up close the immaculate wildlife, and unforgettable landscapes. Gaze at large herds of elephants, zebras, buffalos, gazelle, cheetahs, wildebeests, and more. Rest within the national park grounds of the Serengeti in a tented camp and feel the still breeze and delight in the stunning sunset sky.
Also feel the warmth of the local Tanzanian people bringing this country to life with their vibrant smiles, kindness, and hospitality. Share a gift of solar light with a family. Disconnect yourself in Lake Eyasi in a remote area near Ngorongoro Crater, with the nomadic tribe Hadzabe Bushmen tribe. Experience heaven on earth, Africa Amini Maasai Lodge, overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro and the savannahs that surround it. Receive a warm welcome from the Maasai which operate the lodge, and immerse yourself in the rituals, and traditions. Slow down your pace and truly connect to the people and earth around you.
This experience will be different from anything you have ever experienced in your life and will touch your heart in a way that you will never forget. It will change your heart and mind forever.
Day One: Arrive in Tanzania, relax at the accommodation at your leisure as all guests arrive in Arusha. Prepare for a week of adventure, safaris, and connection.
Day Two: Arrive in Tanzania, explore the city of Arusha, learning about the history and culture of the city. Also visit Solar Sisters, a nonprofit that trains women to deliver solar energy to homes in rural communities. Learn about their mission, the impact of solar energy in rural Tanzania, and how it aligns with the UN Global Goals #7.
Afterward, visit Shanga, a social enterprise lead by those with disabilities. Learn about how they use recycled materials to create products providing job opportunities to those with disabilities.
Day Three: Experience the first game drive! Visit Tarangire National Park and learn about the incredible wildlife, including herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and more. Also, marvel at the landscape of the Tarangire River.
Day Four: After breakfast, travel to the local farming village of Mto Wa Mbu for a stroll around the village with over 120 different tribes. We will be guided and welcomed by a resident taking us through the village, learn about the education system, local farming, schools, and the market. Afterward, make our way to Southern Serengeti.
Day Five: Wake up in a lodge within the National Park of Serengeti overlooking the beautiful horizon and savannah. Start the day with a game drive in Southern Serengeti observing wildlife like Lions, Elephants, Zebras, and more. Learn more about their conservation efforts and witness the Great Migration of wildebeests. A must-see during your time on safari!
Day Six: Enjoy another morning of game drives in Ndutu in Serengeti then make our way to Lake Eyasi. Along the way stop at Olduvai Gorge, and learn about one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, and visit the local museum.
Along the journey distribute solar panels purchased directly from Solar Sister to families in the region without access to electricity.
Day Seven: Get up before sunrise and visit the Hadzabe bushmen, one of the world’s last remaining hunter‐gatherer tribes, learn directly from the bushmen their time‐honored hunting techniques, survival skills, food preparation, and cultural norms. Afterward, make our way to Amini Maasai Lodge.
Day Eight: Receive a warm welcome from the Maasai leaders of the lodge, and gain a deeper, authentic level of understanding of Maasai culture. Wake up in one of the most magical places on earth, Amini Maasai Lodge, overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro.
We will have the opportunity to engage in a nature walk, learn about their environmental conservation, spear throwing, and engage in a sundowner tradition also taking full advantage of the time to self-reflect on the mystical grounds.
Day Nine: Departure Day
To protect the beauty and wildlife of Tanzania, the government has implemented regulations and mandatory entrance fees for visitors and vehicles entering the national parks. These mandatory daily fees put in place to economically support wildlife protection, national park workers, and conservation. The fees are reflected in the price below.

Flexible payment plans can also be designed to provide travelers the financial flexibility to complete the payments within the January 5th 2021 deadline.
The final registration date is January 15th, 2021.
International Flights are NOT included in the price, as travelers will be departing from different cities in the world, and flight prices vary depending on location.
All deposits are non-refundable with an expectation of Sababu's COVID cancellation policy for guest protection. In case, of an unforeseen circumstance, the traveler can find an a replacement participant to occupy that spot. All payment installments must be made between June 15th– January 5th. The final balance must be paid by January 5th. Paying in full is also encouraged. Spots will be allocated on a rolling basis until the trip is full.

Our cancellation is based on Sababu Safari's policies. Their COVID cancellation for guest protection will apply.

During her travels she fell in love with the wildlife on safari, and the tranquility of the Amini Maasai Lodge overlooking Mt. Kilimajaro. MTO WA MBU, a village in northern Tanzania, due to its location welcomes tourism activities as a center for major investments in the tourism industry and within the community. Mto Wa Mbu village lies along the main to the road to Ngorongoro Crater, The Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara national park. Within Mto wa Mbu village there various tourist facilities such as Hotels, Lodges, Campsites, and cultural activities.
