The SDG we support

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Promoting sustainable economic growth with productive. inclusive, and decent employment for all

Over the past 30 years, the amount of workers living in extremely poverty has reduced drastically. However, with a growing global economy, there is higher potential for unfair wages, abusive working environments, and employment inequality. The rate of employment among young workers has remained 22% since 2005. And in 2018, women were twice as likely as men to be without work, training, or education. As economies grow, economic equality and dignity must also be maintained.

Proudly partnered with the Sheroes Hangout

Sheroes Hangout is a cafe and community in India, set up to empower acid attack survivors. Acid attacks are popular against women in India, and this initiative provides the necessary support, employment opportunities, community refuge, and location to display their artwork. Sheroes Hangout is an initiative of the Chanv Foundation, an NGO responsible for the campaign #StopAcidAttacks.
