Part-Time Internships (Academic-Credit)

​

 

We are currently looking for a Membership Lead.

An outgoing individual that can help us manage our community and registered travelers. This role primarily focuses on building community, expanding to new audiences, and designing opportunities for collaboration and programming. For the internship above please contact us directly and share your skills.

Additionally, we are seeking an intern to support as our Financial Operations Lead.

​

The World Within Us Interns play an integral role as direct support to our founder, working in the areas of communications, development, and programming.

General Requirements:

• Committed to working part-time about 10 - 15 hours per week.

• You focus on goals & tasks at hand but also think ahead to anticipate needs & multitask.

• Demonstrated interest in responsible tourism, international development, gender equality, and the SDGs.

Advisory Board.
 

The Advisory Board is a group of individuals who regularly work (virtually) to ensure responsible tourism and our mission of achieving the UN SDGs are included in She's the First’s programming, our communications strategy, outreach, and fundraising. Advisory members have a direct impact on The World Within Us strategy, and ideas working closely with The World WIthin Us staff, founder, and board of directors. These advisory board members will contribute valuable insight into programs as well as find creative ways to broaden The World Within Us impact.

• Speak, read, and write English comfortably

• Have an understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals

• Have a proposed idea on what network connections or skills you can contribute to The World Within Us

Board of Directors.

​

Over the next few months, we will be bringing on two individuals* to serve on our Board of Directors. These roles will be filled by serving Advisory Council members (therefore, applicants must be part of the Advisory board to be considered for a board seat).  Both roles will have a voice and contribute to decision making in the boardroom. Board members will report to the chair of the board.

The individual selected for this position will leverage their network, assist with fundraising outreach at the top level, and determine strategy decisions. Applicants for this position should expect to go through multiple rounds of interviews.
