WHAT WE MEAN BY

"TRAVEL THAT EMPOWERS ALL"

By visiting Favela Organica, we empower a woman-owned organization that is feeding her community, and teaching the importance of nutrition, wellness, and sustainability.

The SDG we support

SDG #16: PEACE, JUSTICE, AND STRONG INSTITUTIONS

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

Promoting peaceful societies that provide access to justice and accountable institutions at all levels. Due to corruption, governmental conflict, and economic instability many areas across Brazil experience heavy levels of violence. The goal worldwide is to reduce violence, protect communities from abuse, and promote collective peace.

We encourage our travelers to take an afternoon flight (if that's a great feasible option) to enjoy some optional add-on activities we're happy to arrange.

Enjoy the morning paraglide over the city of Rio de Janeiro, helicopter tour, or more beach time.

Day One: Welcome to Brazil! Be picked-up from Rio's international airport and transferred to our hotel. In the late afternoon, adventure to the vibrant area of Lapa, a charming are of Rio de Janeiro focused on Samba, music, and nightlife.

We will enjoy dinner there, enjoy a complimentary Caipirinha (Brazil's national drink), take a samba class, and dance the night away. It's the perfect way to kick off the trip, meet your fellow travelers and locals.

Day Three:  To start the day visit one of the beautiful Wonders of the World, 'Christ the Redeemer' bright and early to be one of the first visitors up the mountain.

Afterwards be welcomed by one of our local guides, Eddie, to visit Babilonia Favela. Walk the local streets and learn more about the origin of favelas, and why they have expanded across Rio de Janeiro.

We will also make our way to Favela Organica, a well respected NGO that puts the community at the heart of their operations. They provides food, nutrition, and wellness practices to those that need it most in Rio de Janeiro.

Fun fact, around half of the water flow from the Iguazu River spills into the Devil’s Throat. With water flowing from three sides, Garganta del Diablo is an incredible 260-degree waterfall and it makes a thunderous noise. You can hear the loud roar of The Devil’s Throat from miles away.

Day Seven:

Rise and shine, we're heading to Grumari, one of the best pristine beaches in Rio de Janeiro. Enjoy the ocean waves, have a drink in hand, and a lunch with a view at Mirante da Prainha.

For sunset, we will venture to Marina da Glória to take a sunset sail on the Rio de Janeiro bay. Take in the views of sunset and reflect on the beautiful experiences.
